Covid-19 mitigation
policies to keep us safe

We take the health of our students and volunteers very seriously. After the extended shutdown of our services, we are very happy to be able to once again invite musicians and students into our new facilities. The ability to safely run our programs in person relies on everyone's cooperation following our temporary safety proceedures.

If you have recenlty had Covid or may have been exposed, please speak with a board member outside or before arriving. We will admit recovered persons without current symptoms on the 6th day after their Covid symptoms first appeared or they first tested Covid positive. We will insist that potentially exposed persons full apply the mask and bell cover guidance below.

Mandatory Covid precautions include:

  • Check-in online at enter.faasl.org upon entering our conservatory.
  • Sanitize hands upon entering.
  • Spaced seating and individual music stands. People residing in the same household may sit near one another and share music stands.
  • Brass instruments are to void their spit onto disposable dinner plates.

Optional Covid precautions that may be reinstated by CDC or ACPHD guidance include:

  • Temperature check during check-in.
  • Regular masks worn when not eating or drinking.
  • Specialty masks worn while playing an instrument.
  • Instrument bell covers.
  • Wipe your stand and chair with a sanitization wipe after use.
  • Rehearsal breaks will occur every 50 minutes or less.
  • Lessons will be limited to 20 minutes to allow for cleaning and airflow between classes.
